The Pros:APlenty of features beyond related posts, nice user interface
The Cons:ARegistration required

Shareaholic has been around for quite some time and started out as a social sharing plugin (you know, those lovely half hidden Facebook and Twitter icons that pop up when you hover over them with the mouse).
Nowadays, Shareaholic is more then social sharing. They offer a wide variety of services for website owners, among them the option to show related posts. So let’s get down to business: The setup process is fairly easy but requires you to create an account with Shareaholic for the fine tuning. Those souls who like their complete independence from registrations and the like should check out YARPPAAinstead.
Once set up, the related post layout in the plugin is easily customizable. In addition, there are several layout templates to choose from. Both thumbnails and text links are supported. However, in terms of features and functionality, Shareaholic does not quite live up to the likes of YARPP.
Shareaholic goes with the trend on another front too: You can enable native ads to be displayed among your related posts and make some money.
With more than 1 million downloads, Shareaholic is one of the big players out there. If you are purely looking for a related posts plugin you might be served best with plugin focussed on that (Hint: we’ve got a nice little overview of those here). In case you use the other offerings of Shareaholic anyways (e.g. social sharing buttons) or plan to do so this is actually a great one stop solution.
